31 villages of Tarn Taran district have come under water on a large scale. Due to this, the residents of these villages had to leave their homes with their goods and cattle and migrate to a higher place. Giving information in this regard, the general secretary of the trust, Gurpreet Singh Pangota, said that Dr. Oberoi had asked our district team to take stock of the situation at the ground level on the first day after seeing the flood situation. While visiting the ground level, our team realized that the problem of green fodder for the livestock of the farmers has emerged as the biggest problem where the paddy crop has been damaged due to water damage.
He further said that when he consulted Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar in this regard, he also requested help from Dr. Oberoi for feeding the animals. Seeing the demand of our team and administration, Dr. Oberoi sent 330 quintals of corn pickle. Which has been distributed to the farmers of villages Ghadunm, Gadai A, Ghullewala, Kotbuddha, Kuttiwala, Dummaniwala etc.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar thanked Dr. Oberoi and said that Dr. Oberoi’s name is not a well-known name. Wherever there is any difficulty, difficulty, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust always goes ahead and contributes. Even today, when the Tarn Taran district was in need of animal feed, they have sent truckloads of maize. With the arrival of 330 quintals, we have got a big relief.
