During the series of meetings held at Punjab Bhavan, Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Union, Unemployed Multipurpose Health Workers Union, Punjab Roadways Panbus State Transport Workers Union, Overseas Unemployed Union, Punjab Pay Scale Restoration Joint Front and Punjab-Chandigarh UT. Responding to the common issues of regularizing the services of contractual employees in various departments, Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided to regulate the services of employees with ten years of experience. has notified the policy to regularize He said that this policy will help in regularizing the services of majority of the contractual employees.
He said that the cases of the employees who will not be able to come under this policy will also be considered sympathetically during the next phase. The cabinet sub-committee also assured the unions that the state government has also started working on a special policy for outsourced workers to ensure that they also get benefits like annual increment in salary and leave. can
The Cabinet Ministers reiterated that the sub-committee is endeavoring to resolve all the demands and issues of the employees including regularization of services in a manner that does not face any legal hurdle.
Meanwhile, Aman Arora said that during the last years of their tenure, the previous governments deliberately adopted such dual policies to regularize the employees, which were naturally challenged in the courts.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh assured the representatives of the Unemployed Multipurpose Health Workers Union that the process of filling 200 posts of Multipurpose Health Workers is underway. He invited the representatives of the drug addiction and rehabilitation union to do more to bring positive results of the drug addiction and rehabilitation program, saying that the government is already working to improve their working conditions.
