ANI quoted the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) as saying that the missiles were fired from 8.24 Yonggang in the waters of Kyongpho Bay in the East Sea in an underwater launching drill on Sunday. KCNA said the drill confirmed the reliability of the weapon system and tested the submarine units’ underwater-to-surface offensive operations, another key force in the DPRK’s nuclear deterrent.
