The protest of wrestlers at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar continues for the 7th day. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also arrived to meet the wrestlers in the morning. Priyanka Gandhi spoke to Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia for a long time and listened to their problems. Earlier, the Delhi Police has registered two FIRs against the head of the Indian Wrestling Federation Brijbhushan Sharan Singh regarding allegations of sexual harassment made by women wrestlers. Serious allegations were made in 2 FIRs registered at Connaught Place police station on the basis of complaints received from female wrestlers. The first FIR relates to the allegations made by a minor, which has attracted Indian penal provisions under the Act against Child Sexual Exploitation. It also has a complaint of a minor wrestler on the basis of which PACSO Act has been imposed.

When the FIR was registered against Brijbhushan, wrestler Bajrang Punia said that the police said that if you want to protest, sleep on the road, the kind of pressure that has come on them today, there was no such problem before. This FIR is due to the pressure of the Supreme Court. He said that until justice is served, we will protest, no matter how much the police administration harasses us.

Delhi Police has put 7 women officers under investigation. 7 women will report to one ACP and then ACP will report to DCP. About 10 inspectors of New Delhi district were called to the police station to lodge an FIR, after which 2 FIRs were lodged.
