Dense fog in Punjab, Meteorological department has issued yellow alert

A continuous drop in temperature is being seen in Punjab, due to which the cold has disturbed the people. In view of this, thick fog was seen in many areas of Punjab today. According to the information, a yellow alert of thick fog has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Punjab. In view of this, Jalandhar district was engulfed in dense fog today.

Due to the fog, nothing could be seen in the distance. Meanwhile, the visibility was less than 50 meters. Due to this, the passers-by faced a lot of problems. Around 5 to 7 in the morning, the entire city was seen wrapped in a sheet of fog. Apart from this, dense fog also prevailed in Ludhiana and Patiala districts. In the coming days, the fury of dense fog will be more visible.

In view of this, motorists are advised to keep the speed of their vehicles slow to avoid any kind of accident. It is to be noted that on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility of many areas of the state being covered with dense fog and the temperature dropping. According to this, 21.9 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Jalandhar, 19 degrees in Gurdaspur, 22.5 degrees in Ludhiana, 23.3 degrees Celsius in Amritsar.
