Decision to regulate industries located in MLU as per policy of PPCB

Policy of PPCB: On the guidelines of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government has decided to give approval to regulate industries located in Mixed Land Use (MLU) areas of Ludhiana as per the policy of Punjab Pollution Control Board.

This was expressed by Environment Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare during a meeting with the delegation of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association at his office. A delegation led by Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu today met the Environment Minister regarding giving consent for industries operating in the MLU areas of Ludhiana.

After listening to the complaints of the industries, the Environment Minister said that the Chief Minister has decided to give approval to regulate the industries located in the MLU areas of Ludhiana. He said that industries have an important contribution in the progress of the state. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the interests of small scale industries to keep them functioning regularly.

The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for this decision

On this occasion, besides others, Secretary, Science, Technology and Environment Department, Rahul Tiwari, Commissioner Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Dr. Shena Aggarwal, PPCB Chairman Prof. Adarsh ​​Paul Vig, Member Secretary Engr. GS Majithia and CEE Engr. Pardeep Gupta and CTP Pankaj Bawa, President CICU Upkar Singh Ahuja, President UCPMA DS Chawla and Charanjit Singh Vishwakarma were present.
