The Punjab government led by CM Bhagwant Mann has taken an important decision to fulfill the dreams of the daughters of Punjab who want to join the armed forces. Now a Punjab Youth Training and Employment Center (C-PIT) camp will be opened exclusively for girls in Kapurthala. The entire staff of this center will be women.

The decision was taken in the 33rd meeting of the Executive Board of C-PIT held under the chairmanship of State Minister for Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Aman Arora. It was decided in the meeting that the existing C-Pit camp located at Kanjhala in Kapurthala district will be converted into a camp for girls where they will be recruited into the armed forces, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Punjab Police. will be trained to be

Earlier only girls were trained in this C-Pite camp. C-Pite will also arrange Service Selection Board (SSB) training for the youth of Punjab who have cleared the NDA or CDS written examination for recruitment as officers in the armed forces.

Principal Secretary Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Jaspreet Talwar, Director Amrit Singh, Director General C-Piet Major General (retd) Rambir Singh Mann and senior officials of other departments were also present in the meeting.

The Cabinet Minister said that apart from starting security and fire fighting training for the youth in C-Pit centers, it has also been decided to provide armed security training. Apart from this, youth training in driving, JCB, Poklan and drone operation will also be started in C-Piet camps of the state.
