Congress president Mallikarujan Kharge spoke on the agitation, 'We are with the farmers'

Congress president Mallikarujan Kharge has made a big announcement before the Lok Sabha elections. He said that those people are with the farmers. He said that the Center should accept the demands of the farmers. Congress has been supporting Kisan movement since its inception. He says that the government should give MSP to the farmers.

Mallikarujan Kharge said that we the people are supporting the farmers. We are openly saying that their legitimate demands should be met. He said that we are also going to announce in our election manifesto that legal guarantee of MSP will be given. Not all crops can be covered but the crops essential for giving MSP should be covered.

Farmers have announced 'Delhi Chalo' march. At present, the farmers are standing on the Shambhu border of the Punjab-Haryana border where they are being stopped by the Haryana Police. Farmers want to enter Haryana and go to Delhi. In the morning, when the farmers tried to enter Haryana by breaking the barricades installed on the border, the police fired tear gas shells.

On the other hand, the government is constantly engaged in dialogue with the farmers. There have been 4 rounds of talks between farmers' organizations and the government. The government has now offered a fifth round of talks. The Center says that the issue should be resolved through dialogue.
