Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed happiness after the Supreme Court declared the Legislative Assembly sessions valid. Along with this, after reprimanding Punjab on air pollution, the Chief Minister has appealed for help from the Center as well. It may be mentioned that two important issues were discussed in the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal today.

The Punjab government approached the Supreme Court after Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit called the assembly sessions illegal. Hearing this, the Chief Justice of India reprimanded the Governor for calling the session illegal. The session convened on June 19-20 was declared valid. On which the Chief Minister has expressed happiness.

There should be a good relationship between the CM and the Governor

After the Supreme Court declared the assembly sessions valid, the Chief Minister said- I respect the Governor, it is not that I have won and the relationship between the Chief Minister and the Governor should be good for the welfare of the state. I want the Punjab government to come up with good bills and the Governor keeps passing them.

Issuance of Leaflet Final Solution- CM Hon

On the issue of stubble burning, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that issuing pamphlets to farmers is their final solution. They have also told NGT that we should give 1500 rupees and you should give 1000 rupees but they did not agree. They don’t want to issue leaflets on farmers. Some union people, who put pressure on government officials and burn stubble, are suffocating themselves and the children of Punjab.

Give minimum support price on other crops also

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said – Today we have written that minimum support price should be given on other crops like paddy. The land of our state is very fertile. We will also grow sunflowers, maize, pulses. India imports $2 billion worth of pulses from Colombia. We will increase it, if we get MSP. The gap between paddy and other crops needs to be filled. The matter is related to the economy, so the Center should help them.
