The PD Agarwal toll plaza at village Chand Purana on the Kotakpura-Moga highway in Faridkot has become toll free from 10 am today. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann himself arrived to close the toll plaza. On this occasion, he said that earlier 9 toll plazas have been closed in Punjab, now this is the 10th toll plaza which has been closed. He said that with the closure of the toll plaza, the vehicle drivers will benefit to the tune of lakhs of rupees daily.
Although earlier it was said to close this toll plaza from July 21, but after the company’s money is completed, this toll plaza is being closed 15 days before the deadline set by the state government. On the way to Moga from Kotakpura, at a distance of about 35 km, there is PD Agarwal Toll Plaza in village Chand Purana. Small and big vehicles ply from here 24 hours a day.
Let us tell that the company was getting an income of 4.50 lakhs daily from this toll plaza. Its closure will benefit not only the people of Punjab but also the motorists of Haryana and Rajasthan. Till now 10 toll plazas of the state have been closed by the state government.
