He also expressed the desire that the youth of Punjab should have degrees and medals in their hands and wherever they go, they should have bats. It should not happen that they come under the influence of selfish and anti-national people and become victims of people who run their shops by campaigning against the country.
Regarding today’s operation, Mann said that he got the information about it last night only and after that he maintained contact with the higher police officers throughout the night so that this operation could proceed peacefully. As the Chief Minister, he also shared the information that Amritpal could have been arrested on March 18 only, but on that day the bullet might have gone off and the blood would have been damaged, so it was avoided. When Sri Guru Granth Sahib was taken in front of Ajnala police station, he asked the higher police officers not to take any drastic action, although some Punjab police personnel were also injured in the process.
Mann further said that hatred will not be allowed to arise on the fertile land of Punjab. A few days ago, the youth of Punjab were martyred to protect the freedom of the country. He also said that Punjab will be put on the path of progress and brought to the first place. He also said that the people of Punjab love peace. And all the high officials have been instructed to maintain peace in Punjab and no untoward incident has come to light.
