Chhattisgarh Seven students dead while a student and an auto driver injured after an auto carrying school students was hit by a truck near Korar village in Kanker district

Kanker. A horrific road accident has taken place in Chhattisgarh. A truck rammed an auto carrying school students near Chilhati Chowk in Korar village of Kankar district, killing seven students. Whereas, a child and the auto driver have been injured. The age of the deceased children is said to be 5 to 8 years. All of them studied in BSNN Digital Public School.

According to the information, after the school holiday, the auto driver was going to take the students and drop them at their respective homes. Meanwhile, a truck hit him hard. Five children died on the spot in this accident. Whereas, two children succumbed to their injuries at Korer Hospital. The auto driver and a child are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The condition of the child is critical. He has been referred to the hospital in Raipur.

The deceased children have been identified as Rudradevi Devi (6), Rudra Kumar (7), resident of village Tueguhan, Ishan Mandavi (4), resident of village Banoli, Manav Sahu (6), resident of village Astra, Piyush Gawde, Lishant Gawde.

on this event Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief. He tweeted and said,The news of the sudden death of 5 school children in an accident between an auto and a truck at Korer Chilhati Chowk in Kanker district is very sad. 4 children are seriously injured, all possible help is being provided by the health department. May God give courage to the family members. The administration is instructed to provide all possible help.

According to the police, the truck driver is absconding, he is being searched. The truck has been seized. It was coming from Bhanupratappur. All the bodies have been sent for postmortem and their families have been informed. Further investigation is on.
