Former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi has been summoned today by Vigilance in the case of assets exceeding income. They have reached the vigilance office. Along with this, before appearing before the vigilance, Charanjit Singh Channi said in a press conference that special offices are being opened for them today even on a holiday and they will bear all this on their body. He said that I will go to the vigilance office alone and even if they sit down, beat them, kill them, send them to jail, whatever they have to do. He said that today he can be arrested, can be sent to jail. Along with this, he has also said that his life is in danger.
He said that I have been struggling since my childhood. I am getting notices daily but I have no property. He said that I want to tell in the people’s court what is my condition, even today the Akhand Path is kept at home. Charanjit Singh Channi got emotional during the press conference and said that I have never taken money from anyone. If anything like this is proved then they should be hanged. They are being implicated in false cases to defame them.
