The Chandrayaan-3 lander took its first step on the moon at 6:40 pm on Wednesday.
Indian Space Institute Center (ISRO) mission was successful. This was ISRO’s third attempt. In 2008, Chandrayaan-1 discovered water on the Moon, in 2019 Chandrayaan-2 approached the Moon, but failed to land. Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon in 2023. Chandrayaan-3 started the landing process at 5.44 pm on Wednesday.
After this, in the next 20 minutes, it completed a journey of 25 km from the final orbit of the moon. The Chandrayaan-3 lander took its first step on the Moon at 6:40 p.m.

ISRO Director S. Somnath said – the next 14 days are very important for us. It may take a day for the Pragyan rover to come out. Pragyan will give us information about the Moon’s atmosphere. We have many missions. Soon Aditya L-1 will be sent to the Sun. Gaganyan is also in the works.
Chandrayaan-3 has also given the message of safe arrival on the moon – ‘Bharat, I have reached my destination. And you too.’ On this success, Prime Minister Narendra Modi from South Africa congratulated the countrymen and said – Chanda Mama was known from afar. Now the children will say that Chanda Mama was on tour.
