Canadian PM Trudeau accuses India of removing diplomats

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that the Indian government has decided to unilaterally revoke the diplomatic immunity of 40 Canadian diplomats in India. This is a violation of the Vienna Convention governing diplomacy. This is what they are choosing to violate a very basic principle of international law and diplomacy.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs responded strongly to Trudeau’s statements, saying, “We have not violated any international norms by removing diplomats. This action was taken under the Vienna Convention.”
