BSF jawans thwarted drug smugglers in Gurdaspur, recovered heroin and weapons

BSF jawans have foiled the attempts of drug smugglers in Gurdaspur. Border Security Force personnel deployed on the Indo-Pak border foiled the attempt of Pakistani smugglers to smuggle heroin and weapons early in the morning. In Gurdaspur, Pakistani smugglers tried to send the consignment to the Indian border by crossing the facing through a pipe, but the jawans foiled it.

The incident is of BOP DBN bsf under Gurdaspur sector. BSF jawans were patrolling in the morning. Meanwhile, at 5.30 in the thick fog, the jawans saw a commotion on the border. The jawans were alerted at the same time after which the Pakistani smugglers fled to their border but left the consignment they had brought with them there.

Meanwhile, when the jawans conducted a search operation, there was a 12 feet long pipe through which the consignment of heroin was being transported. The consignment was wrapped in a long cloth. When it was opened, 20 packets of heroin, 2 pistols, one made in Turkey and the other made in China, 6 magazines and 242 rounds of bullets were recovered from it.
