BSF jawans seized heroin worth Rs 38 crore dropped by smugglers via drone

Amritsar: Pakistani drones are constantly entering the border district of Punjab, Amritsar. This is the 11th attempt in 10 days that a Pakistani drone has crossed the Indian border. Border Security Force (BSF) personnel detected the drone and launched a search operation and succeeded in seizing heroin worth Rs 38 crore, which was dumped in the fields.

The incident is from the border village of Rai in Amritsar. This is the second day in a row that Pakistani smugglers have dropped about 5 kg of heroin in Rai village. According to information shared by BSF, the jawans were on night patrol. Meanwhile, the sound of a drone was heard. When the jawans tried to target the drone, the sound of something falling was heard.

BSF personnel sealed the area. A search operation was conducted in the area. A large yellow packet was found in the fields. It contained small packets of heroin. The total weight after weighing is estimated to be 5.5 kg. The international price of which is around 38 crores.
