According to reports, the risk of fire has increased due to malfunctioning in electrical components, due to which they have shown preparation for it. Together, Hyundai and Kia have recalled more than 91,000 new cars in the U.S., including about 52,000 Hyundai cars and 40,000 Kia cars.

The recall covers the 2023-2024 Hyundai Palisade, 2023 Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Kona models. Kia has recalled the 2023-2024 Seltos and the 2023 Soul and Sport vehicles. It is being told that these vehicles have been recalled for inspection and repair without any charge.

Media reports have said that in this case, Hyundai and Kia have advised the vehicle owners to be careful in terms of safety. Also, customers are advised not to use the affected cars for the time being and to contact the nearest dealers in case of burning or overheating.

Both auto manufacturers are already involved in thermal issues, according to recall data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). However, both the companies have clarified that there is no report of any kind of accident in these cases. Hyundai and Kia plan to notify vehicle owners by September, and reiterate their appeal to follow their guidelines.
