All these are former students, who have come to Canada and America for about 40-50 years and are fully established with their families. But the noteworthy and noteworthy thing is that all these knowers have not forgotten their background schools, colleges, their native land, their villages and Punjab at all. They are often disturbed by the dilapidated condition of their schools, colleges and villages when they visit their Punjab and are often seen eager to do something for their betterment. In this meeting, Dr. Chamkaur Singh Vairoke, who is now a resident of America, said that when he offered to provide financial assistance to the principal for the betterment of the school, the principal only asked for four lakh rupees. So Chamkaur Singh said that we all NRIs will give 10 lakh rupees to improve the condition of the school. From that day all NRIs are sincere and united towards this serious issue. The members present in today’s meeting announced to give as assistance on the spot. All the members present introduced themselves and pledged to contribute in every way for the progress of their former school. In this meeting Dr. Chamkaur Singh Vairoke (USA), Paramjit Singh Rode (USA), Gurdev Singh Rode Baba, wife of Brar Sahib, Reetan Brar, Lakhwinder Singh Rode son of Sucha Singh Jathedar, Balwinder Singh Rode, Lahora Singh Rajeana, sister Gurbachan Kaur Brar, Rajiana/ Smallsar, Baldev Singh Brar, Sahdev Rode, Lakhvir Singh Rode, Jagsir Singh Rode, Darshan Singh Rode, Iqbal Singh Rode, Ranjit Singh Jeet Rode, Sardar Hardyal Singh Brar, Masu K, Rode’s grandson, Manjit Singh S : Grandsons of Mohan Singh Kweeshar, Darshan Singh Gil Safu Wala, Balor Singh Former famous Kabaddi player Kotla Mehr Singh Wala, Balwinder Singh Kotla Mehr Singh Wala, Major Singh Kotla Mihar Singh. Wala, elder brother of Chamkaur Singh Balor Singh Kotla, Sardar Baljit Singh Rajiana and Major Singh Rajiana, son of Sukhmandar Singh alias Mahasha Rajiana, Yadwinder Singh Family s: Sham Singh, Bali Father s: Bikram Singh Namdar, Gurjit Singh alias Babli, Ajaib Singh Kuka Rode, Darshan Singh, Paritinder Singh Bagha Purana, Jagroop Singh Jagga Rode and Balwinder Sin Rode, former Kanungo etc. were present. At the end of the meeting, all the present members, all the ex-students of Senior Secondary School, GTB Garh (Rode) promised to give assistance funds for major renovation of the school building.
