Lakhbir Singh alias Landa was earlier a gangster. He originally hails from Harike in Tarn Taran district. He is in Canada since 2017. He had various criminal cases registered against him for murder, attempt to murder, extortion, drug trafficking, kidnapping and illegal possession of arms but in the year 2022, he turned out to be the mastermind behind the RPG attack on Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters and Sahrali. was Police station Tarn Taran On July 22, 2023, the NIA filed a chargesheet against Landa after an investigation.
Landa is wanted by the Punjab Police in several serious cases and is absconding abroad. Currently NIA officials are not talking openly about it. The NIA has put up a board announcing the seizure of part of Landa’s land located in Tarn Taran district. Earlier, the central agency had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for Landa’s arrest. A Red Corner Notice (RCN) has been issued against him.
