Chandigarh,13 June 2023,(Azad Soch News):- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann released the ‘Vision Document’ of the state government for the year 2047 and described this document as the blueprint for a progressive and prosperous Punjab, during a simple but effective ceremony at his office. While releasing the Chief Minister stressed on the urgent need to revive the economy and financial health of the state, he said that this document holds hope for the all-round development of the state on the completion of 100 years of India’s independence.
He said that this document consists of 9 departmental sections and 16 socio-economic indicator-based sub-sections in which the current situation, major challenges facing the state and short-term and long-term strategies to overcome these challenges have been outlined. Bhagwant Mann said that according to the documents, the growth rate of the economy will be achieved at 7.5 percent annually by 2030 and 10 percent by 2047.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the objective of this document is to invest-GSDP by 2030. Bringing the ratio to 25 percent and by improving the investment climate in the state and introducing economic administrative reforms for timely and hassle-free approval of industrial projects, Punjab’s Investment-GSDP by 2047. The ratio is to be restored to 32 percent. He said that service sector/fast-paced services like BPO, Information Technology Based Services (ITES) including online education, social media and entertainment will be developed and digital technologies in service sector. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said good job creation will also be ensured by boosting investment in all sectors and creating synergy between industries and educational institutions to improve employability and startup eco-system. The Chief Minister emphasized that the appropriate strategy for improving the financial health of the economy is prudent fiscal management. Bhagwant Mann said that keeping in mind the needs of the state, targets and strategies have been prepared for the various identified sectors.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the key sectors are economy, finance, industry, employment, agriculture, rural development, sustainable cities and communities, infrastructure, mass and equitable education, health infrastructure and management, achieving gender equality, Includes natural resources, affordable and clean energy. Similarly, climate and natural resource conservation, technological advancement, governance, security and safe and efficient transportation management system are also included.
He said that the broad objective of this document is to enable the citizens to lead a dignified life. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann emphasized that the spirit of this vision is eradication of poverty and hunger, ensuring livelihood and shelter, provision of equal and quality education and health facilities for all, adequate sanitation network and availability of electricity. .
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that these goals will be achieved with the aim of removing geographical and social disparities. The purpose of this document is to coordinate the efforts of various administrative departments and agencies to achieve the set goals. He expressed hope that this document will bring greater coordination for action at all levels of administration in the larger public interest. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the state government has already taken some sensible steps at various levels of administration to achieve the goals highlighted in this document.
