To further boost industrial development in the state, a Holland-based company is setting up a cattle feed plant at a cost of Rs 138 crore, the foundation stone of which will be laid by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday (October 1).

The decision in this regard was taken during the Chief Minister’s meeting with Netherlands Ambassador Marisa Gerads, who met the Chief Minister at his residence here. During the discussion, Bhagwant Singh Mann, describing Punjab as the most preferred destination for investment, informed the Ambassador that the state has a pro-industry government implementing a single window system dedicated to the welfare of industrialists. He said that Punjab is a land of opportunities and leading companies from all over the world are ready to invest in the state.

The Chief Minister said that entrepreneurs from the Netherlands would also benefit greatly by investing in Punjab, which is fast emerging as the industrial hub of the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjab has a conducive environment for communal harmony, industrial peace and industrial development, which is giving a boost to all-round development, prosperity and progress of industries. He asked the Ambassador of Holland to encourage his industrialists to take maximum advantage of the excellent infrastructure, electricity, skilled human resources and favorable environment with the best industrial and working culture to expand the business of their companies in Punjab.

Welcoming the Dutch industrialists, the Chief Minister said that the state government is always ready for new ideas and innovations to boost industrial development in Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to the concerted efforts of the state government, Punjab is rapidly writing a new story of success in every field. He said that the main objective of boosting industrialization in the state is to reverse the trend of brain drain in the state by opening new avenues of employment for the youth.

Meanwhile, the ambassador of the Netherlands told Bhagwant Singh Mann that the leading industrialists of Holland are already investing in the state on a large scale. He invited the Chief Minister to lay the foundation stone of the cattle feed plant to be built at a cost of Rs 138 crore in Rajpura. Accepting this invitation, the Chief Minister hoped that this plant would prove to be a milestone in giving a big boost to the industrial development of the state. He also said that the process of making Rangla Punjab has started.
