Rule Change from 1st June: The month of June 2023 has started and like every month this month has also brought many big changes. These changes, which will come into effect from 1 June 2023, are going to have a direct impact on the common man. While on one hand gas distribution companies have once again given a big relief by reducing the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders, on the other hand electric two-wheelers have become expensive.
LPG cylinder became cheaper :- Government oil and gas companies change the prices of LPG on the first day of every month. Like every month, LPG cylinder prices have been revised on the first day of this month as well. From June 1, a commercial cylinder has once again become cheaper by Rs 83.5 in Delhi.
The price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder was also reduced on the first of April and May. On May 1, 2023, a commercial cylinder became cheaper by around Rs 172. After the latest cut, it now stands at Rs 1773 in Delhi. Along with this, it has come down to Rs 1937 in Chennai, Rs 1875.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1725 in Mumbai. However, this time too, no change has been made in the prices of 14 kg LPG cylinders.
Buying an electric two-wheeler has become expensive:Talking about another big change in the country, it has become expensive to buy an electric two-wheeler in the country from June 1. That is, to buy an electric bike or scooter, you will have to loosen your pocket more. According to the notification issued on May 21, 2023, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has changed the FAME-II subsidy amount and increased it by Rs.10,000 per kWh. Also, earlier this amount was Rs 15,000 per kilowatt hour. Because of this, most electric vehicles can cost between Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000.
Campaign on Benami Bank Deposits:– From June 1, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to start a campaign to determine the amount of benami deposits in the country’s banks. The name of this campaign is ‘100 Days 100 Salary’. The central bank has already informed the banks in this regard. Under this campaign, a target has been set to settle 100 unclaimed amounts in 100 days.
New rule related to pharma companies:– In fact, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given instructions to test cough syrup samples. From June 1, it has become necessary to conduct a test of syrup before export. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has said in an official notice that exporters of cough syrup will have to submit a certificate of analysis issued by a government laboratory before exporting the product from the first date. Export will happen only if found correct. Let us tell you that this major decision has been taken amid quality concerns raised abroad over cough syrup exported by Indian firms.
Break for 12 days on exchange of 2000 notes:- According to RBI’s list of bank holidays, banks will be closed for 12 days in the month of June. During these days, there will be a stop on the process of changing the 2,000 rupee notes issued in the bank branches. Let us tell here that bank holidays may vary from one state to another on the occasion of events and festivals in different states of the country. It may be mentioned that on May 19, 2023, it was announced that the pink notes of Rs 2,000 will be withdrawn from circulation. The process of replacing these discontinued notes has started from May 23, which will continue till September 30.
