Another Indian-American student has died in the US. This is the fourth case in a month. US police are investigating the death of an Indian-American student in Ohio, the fourth such case in the country in a month. The Consulate General of India in New York said that there is currently no suspicion of foul play in the death of Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student at the Lindner School of Business in Cincinnati.

“Deeply saddened by the unfortunate death of Indian-origin student Shreyas Reddy Benigeri in Ohio,” the consulate said in a post on social media platform 'X'. “The police are investigating the matter,” the consulate said without giving details about the incident. No foul play is suspected at this time. Benigeri's family living in India has been informed of his death and it is said that his father will soon come to America from India.

A few days before this, Neil Acharya, a student of Indian origin studying at Purdue University, was found. Earlier, 25-year-old Indian student Vivek Saini was hit on the head with a hammer nearly 50 times by a homeless drug addict in Lithonia, Georgia, killing him. Akul B Dhawan, an 18-year-old student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), was found dead last month. He was found to be suffering from 'hypothermia'.
