Ludhiana: A heart-wrenching news has come out from Ludhiana. A two-and-a-half-year-old child fell into boiling water in Rausiana village under Malud police station of Payal and died during treatment.
The child has been identified as Manveer Singh son of Chamkaur Singh resident of Rausiana. Manveer Singh’s mother was heating water in a bucket with an electric rod to bathe her child. After the water was heated, she went to keep the electric rod in the room.
Meanwhile, Manveer Singh fell into the boiling water. He was rushed to Rajindra Hospital Patiala in critical condition from where he was referred to PGI Chandigarh and died during treatment. The police, taking action under Section 174, handed over the body of the child to the heirs without an autopsy.
