Addressing this meeting, Dr. Inderveer Gill, convener of Health Workers’ Struggle Committee Moga, organizer Kulbir Singh Dhillon, Darshan Virdi, coordinator of NGO Coordination Committee Moga, etc., in one voice, expressed strong words about the transfer of Mahendra Pal Lumba under the political vindictiveness. Condemning it, he said that this change is the result of politicking because local MLAs were not invited to the blood donation camp on June 14 and they were sidelined considering the corruption going on in Civil Hospital Moga as a road block. He appealed to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to intervene in this and said that Mahendra Pal Lumba is the person who laid the foundation of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and has done justice to his job while facing many punishments. It is because of their hard work that Moga city has been spared from dengue outbreak last year and this year also there is no dengue patient in the city yet leaving two and a half lakh population of Moga city unattended and sending them far away shows that His replacement has been plotted. He said that corruption is being done openly by the SMO of Civil Hospital Moga and government funds are being misused.

He demanded a vigilance investigation of the income expenditure of the last one year and said that this will expose big scams to the people. S. Dhillon said that apart from Mahendra Pal Lumba, two employees of Muktsar and two employees of Mansa district have also been illegally transferred, and a massive protest will be held in front of the director’s office in Chandigarh on July 6 to cancel them. He said that the district action committee will be formed by a meeting of all justice-loving organizations on Saturday at 1 pm and the next struggle will be announced to cancel the transfer.
