Amul Hikes Milk Price: Immediately after the budget, inflation has hit the general public yet again. Amul has increased the price of milk by Rs 3 per litre. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets its dairy products under the Amul brand, had last increased the prices of its Gold, Fresh and Shakti milk brands by Rs 2 per liter in October. Now Gujarat dairy cooperative Amul has announced a hike of up to Rs 3 per liter on fresh milk from today. After this revision, the price of Amul Gold will be Rs 66 per litre.
Now more money will have to be paid for milk
Amul Taza will cost Rs 54 per litre, Amul cow milk Rs 56 per liter and Amul A2 buffalo milk will now cost Rs 70 per litre, Amul said in a statement on Thursday. The new prices have been increased from February 3 on all variants of Amul pouch milk. The increase in prices was due to increase in the overall cost of operation and production of milk. Amul had said that the cost of cattle feed alone has gone up by almost 20 per cent.
