Aman Arora orders Deputy Commissioners to ensure timely services through service centers

Punjab News: With the aim of ensuring uninterrupted services to the people within the stipulated time frame in the service centers of the state, Punjab Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance Redressal Minister Aman Arora instructed all the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that the services provided through the service centers are To continuously monitor delays and ensure timely delivery of services to the public.

Presiding over the meeting through video conference at Magsipa here, Aman Arora also asked the Deputy Commissioners to identify officers and employees who are habitual of delay in providing services, demanding unnecessary documents and making inappropriate objections on files. He also warned of strict action against officials and employees who disrupt services for the common people.

Asking the officials of the Administrative Reforms Department to bring all the offline services online in the shortest possible time, the Cabinet Minister said that the online services are empowering the common man by bringing transparency in the system and with this the weaker sections of the society can benefit from the various services of the government. People benefit from welfare policies and schemes in a timely manner.

Aman Arora asked all Deputy Commissioners to send a demand for clean drinking water, air conditioners, fans, chairs etc. for the people at the service centers so that they can be provided with necessary funds. He said that the Chief Minister The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann is committed to ensure uninterrupted services to the people near their homes so that people do not face any difficulty in availing the government schemes and services.

Praising the Deputy Commissioners of Gurdaspur, Jalandhar and Mansa districts for good performance, Aman Arora said that other districts should also take appropriate measures to reduce and control pending cases related to public services. He also suggested to make necessary efforts to completely eliminate the delay in services at the service centers.

Giving a presentation about the Service Centers, Principal Secretary Tejveer Singh and Director Girish Dayalan of the Department of Administrative Reforms instructed the staff of the Service Centers to approve the file only after completing all the necessary documents and filling the checklist properly. Tejveer Singh made it clear that deliberate suspension of work and negligent staff will be dealt with strictly as unnecessary inconvenience caused to people due to such behavior cannot be tolerated at any cost.
