All-rounder Moin Ali has announced his retirement from Test cricket

Veteran England all-rounder Moin Ali has announced his retirement from Test cricket. In fact, Moin has decided to extend his career in limited overs cricket.

Moin has informed captain Joe Root and head coach Chris Silverwood of his decision. Moin, 34, has scored 2914 runs in 64 Tests at an average of 28.29 and taken 195 wickets at an average of 36.66. Moin has not played Test cricket since the 2019 Ashes series but recently returned to the Test squad for the home series against India.

He is currently playing in the IPL in the UAE, in which he is part of the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In the 14th season of IPL, Moin Ali has so far scored 261 runs in 9 matches at an average of 29.00 and has also taken 5 wickets.
