Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema surrounded the Punjab government on the SYL issue and said that they have deliberately lost the SYL case to please Kejriwal. After the Supreme Court verdict, the Chief Minister is so happy that my job is secured, my boss is happy. Where there was a need to argue in the Supreme Court, they made the Advocate General sit at home so that the case does not get complicated in the court. The purpose of the Chief Minister has been fulfilled.
Cheema claimed that he has a fresh relationship with the Congress. In the press conference held by Malvinder Kang today, he did not hold the Congress responsible for this issue anywhere, he only targeted the Badal family. An attempt has been made to put on the works done by the Congress.
Cheema said that Badal has fought for the protection of water all his life. Parkash Badal always supported not to give the water of Punjab to any other state. I appeal to the Hon’ble government not to become an opponent of Punjab at the behest of Kejriwal.
Cheema said that now they have convened the session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha but did not take the Governor’s approval.
