Chandigarh Police has arrested the senior leader of youth wing of Shiromani Akali Dal, Parambans Singh Bunty Romana. The police have kept them in Sector-3 police station of Chandigarh. According to information, Bunty Romana has had to share a fabricated video against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on social media.
The video shared by Bunty Romana had the voice of famous Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal. After the video posted by Bunty Romana went viral, Kanwar Grewal clarified that he has not sung any such song. Their song has been tampered with.
Akali Dal protested against the arrest
After the arrest of Romana, the Akali Dal has come into action. On getting the news of Bunty Romana’s arrest, Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal along with several leaders reached the Mohali SSP office and protested against the police action. Sukhbir Badal objected to the attitude of the police before Mohali SP City Akashdeep Singh Aulakh and SP Investigation Amandeep Singh Brar. On the other hand, Akali leaders have also started protesting outside the office.

On this whole matter, Sukhbir Badal tweeted and said – He condemns the arrest of Akali Dal General Secretary Parambans Singh Banti Romana on fabricated charges by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. This action of the Chief Minister shows his political vendetta against the Akali Dal. The Aam Aadmi Party wants to distract the attention of Punjabis from the real issues by suppressing the voice of the opposition. Bhagwant Mann wants to hide his failures by doing this but Akali Dal is not afraid of such actions.

Bunty Romana tweeted this video of one minute and 27 seconds on October 25 at 4.29 pm. 19 thousand people saw it in 24 hours and 263 people liked it. The video shared by Bunty Romana featured the voice of famous Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal and the lyrics of the song were – ‘Teri Kejriwal naal yaari oy… Taio mat gayi hai mari oy.’
Meanwhile, Mohali SP Investigation Amandeep Singh Brar spoke to Sukhbir Badal with Mohali SSP Dr Sandeep Garg through his mobile phone. Sukhbir also expressed his displeasure at SSP Garg for arresting Romana without investigation.
