Actually this child had fallen down about 15 feet, for which 5 teams of NDRF were engaged. Though all efforts were made to rescue the child, but during the rescue the child died.
According to the information, the pit was dug for the borewell. But, it was not covered. The child was playing in the evening, meanwhile, he slipped and fell into the pit. As soon as the news was received, the rescue team immediately reached the spot and got involved in the rescue work. But, even after 9 hours of hard work, the child’s life could not be saved. According to the information, the child was trapped in the borewell at a depth of 15 feet. The incident is of Kopardi village.
According to the information received, the name of the child is being told as Sagar. And his father works in Kopardi village to cut sugarcane. On the other hand, according to the NDRF, the child suddenly fell into the borewell while playing at 4 pm last Monday. At the same time, the police had informed on the matter that, ambulance and other medical help have been kept ready on the spot, so that the child can be treated immediately as soon as he comes out. Despite this, this child could not be saved.
On the other hand, officials said that a team of necessary health workers was already ready to help the child. As soon as the child was taken out of the borewell, his health was checked. But, by then he had died. Later the soil around the borewell was removed with the help of JCB machine. At the same time, after the death of the child, now the family members are in bad condition by crying. With this death, silence has spread in Puri village. In such a situation, now no one can believe that 5 years old innocent Sagar is no more in this world.
