Abohar: A 25-year-old youth from local Mohalla Thakkar population jumped in front of his friend in Malukpura Minor last night. At around 11.30 last night, he called his friend Kushal and said that he is going to commit suicide by jumping into the canal. The friend tried to pacify him and immediately reached Malukpura Miners on Hanumangarh Road but when Kushal reached there, Sawan jumped from the bridge into the canal in front of him.
His friend tried hard to save him but could not save him. Kushal then informed his family members, who reached the spot and informed Raju Charaya, head of Nar Seva Narayan Seva Samiti. .
Under the leadership of the committee president, the sevadars along with the family members searched for Sawan all night and on Saturday morning the committee members got information that a dead body was lying in the canal near village Dalmirkhera, on which the sevadars of the samiti Sonu Grover and Monu Grover. After reaching the spot, the body was taken out of the canal.

It is being told that before jumping into the canal, the deceased took out his mobile phone and money from his pocket and kept it on the hollow and then jumped into the canal.
