A reception center opened at Calgary Airport for wildfire victims

Calgary (Punjabi Newspaper Bureau) Although Canada is known as a country with snowy cities, it cannot be denied that the fury of fire in the dense forests of Canada also damages many of its cities every year. Yellowknife city has received an evacuation warning for the past two or three days due to the raging fire. The forest fire has reached its close, so people have started evacuating the city.
A reception center has been opened at Calgary’s International Airport for people fleeing their hometowns and taking refuge in Calgary. Keeping in view the possibility of about five flights arriving at the airport today, their accommodation has been provided by various hotels. Apart from the arrangements made for about five thousand people, special arrangements have also been made for pets. A local animal shelter has stepped in to help during this difficult time. The management team says that currently no one needs to bring anything as donation as we have not yet set up any arrangement to receive donations so that we can take them from you directly to the victims.
