The Punjab government is going to build a new circuit house in Pathankot. The Public Works Department has started the tender process for this. With the construction of the circuit house, there will be no problem in staying the guests coming from far away including the ministers.

Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the total area of โ€‹โ€‹this circuit house will be 22800 square feet. Apart from the ground floor, a 2-storey building will be constructed in it. A total of 12 rooms have been approved for construction here. It includes 2 VVIP rooms. Apart from this, a conference hall and a drawing room will also be built.

Minister Harbhajan Singh said that administrative approval has been obtained for the construction of new circuit house in Pathankot. After this tenders were called. The project is targeted to be completed in the next 6 months.

It is worth mentioning that Pathankot is bordered by Himachal Pradesh on one side and Jammu and Kashmir on the other. Due to this, there was no proper accommodation for the guests/officials and other special persons coming from all over the country. This is the reason why the Punjab government has approved the construction of circuit house in Pathankot.
