Punjab Police is fully committed to eradicate the network of criminals as per the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. In this regard, DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said that a big inter-state gang has been busted. The gang was active in immigration/travel agents in creating fake passports for gangsters/criminals from Punjab and other states and helping them escape from the law of the land. AGTF has successfully arrested three persons, identified as Onkar Singh, Sukhjinder Singh and Prabhjot Singh Vjo.
This gang had connections in Delhi, UP, Kolkata, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Fake passports have been recovered from the possession of gangsters. Five other accomplices have been arrested, an FIR has been registered and further investigation is on.
