During interrogation, the accused Shinder Singh said that he had hidden 4 kg of heroin under the road under repair at Bute ki Channan in his village. He said that the police teams have succeeded in recovering the consignment from the location mentioned by the accused.

Sharing more information in this regard, AIG S.S.O.C. Sukhminder Singh Mann said that on the disclosure of the accused Shinder, the police teams had also named his four accomplices, who are still absconding and are expected to have a large consignment of heroin. Police teams are conducting raids to nab them and more drugs are expected to be recovered.

In this regard, FIR No. 23 dated 03.08.2023 under Section 21, 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act has already been registered at Police Station SSOC Amritsar.
