A Bangladeshi citizen who was trying to infiltrate into Punjab was arrested

BSF has arrested an infiltrator at the border in Amritsar, Punjab this morning. The BSF said in a statement that an infiltrator from Pakistan was trying to enter India at a border post in Punjab on the night of March 8-9. BSF personnel on duty opened fire and arrested him.

According to the Border Security Force, this intruder was trying to enter India illegally through Rajatal in Amritsar sector. When the jawans saw, they fired at him, after which he tried to run away but the jawans caught him.

After this BSF personnel searched him. A BSF spokesperson said that preliminary inquiries have revealed that the arrested person is a Bangladeshi national. He is being interrogated further by BSF personnel. After which further action will be taken.
