CM Mannโ€™s Return gift to Jalandhar: Announcing a big gift for the residents of Jalandhar Lok Sabha Constituency, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced more than 100 crores of grant money for the development works of Jalandhar district.

Talking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that he is personally indebted to the voters of Jalandhar Parliamentary Constituency for the excellent fatwa given in favor of the party. Bhagwant Mann said, “The people of Jalandhar pressed a button of the EVM and shut the mouths of those who were spewing poison against me during this campaign.” Bhagwant Mann said that this election result has come in favor of the pro-people and development oriented policies of the state government.

95 crores to Jalandhar Municipal Corporation to develop the city

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that the state government has also sent 95 crore rupees to the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation for the development of the city. He said that these funds will be used by the municipal corporation for development works in different parts of the city. Bhagwant Mann said that Jalandhar city will be developed as a model city equipped with state-of-the-art civic facilities.

Similarly, the Chief Minister said that the Jalandhar-Adampur-Hoshiarpur road will be completed at a cost of Rs 13.74 crore. He said that the work of this important project will be completed by September. Bhagwant Mann also said that the construction of the 17.46 km long road from Nakodar to Guraya via Jandiala would also be completed by September.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the voters of Jalandhar have completely rejected the negative and hateful propaganda of the traditional parties by voting in favor of the state government’s developmental policies. He said that voters of Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency have voted in favor of School of Eminence, Aam Aadmi Clinic, exceptional progress, welfare of people and other initiatives. Bhagwant Mann said that while he sought votes in the name of development, his opponents sought votes in the name of caste and religion.

The Chief Minister said that the people of Jalandhar have pacified the opposition parties by giving a strong fatwa in favor of the state government and now it is their duty to ensure the development of Jalandhar in return. He said that the ancient glory of Jalandhar as the center of sports in the country will be restored, which will give a big boost to the sports industry of Jalandhar. Bhagwant Mann said that no stone will be left unturned to boost the progress and development of this city.

“This victory has filled me with the spirit to serve the people with more humility and dedication,” the Chief Minister said. He said that although the newly elected Member of Parliament has not yet taken oath, his government has already prepared a comprehensive blueprint for the all-round development of Jalandhar. Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab is on the path of revival as the government elected by the people is devoting new projects to the people and he said that for the first time policies are being made in consultation with the people.

The Chief Minister has given a befitting reply by completely rejecting the negative propaganda of the traditional parties. He said that all these parties had joined hands against the state government which was united for the good of the people, but the people taught them a lesson. Bhagwant Mann said that the Punjab government is committed to the welfare of the people and there is no dearth of funds for this.

The Chief Minister said that paddy harvesting would be done in a phased manner to save water and ensure uninterrupted irrigation for paddy cultivation. In the first phase, paddy cultivation in the areas beyond the fence along the international border will begin from June 10, for which uninterrupted power supply will be provided. He said that in the second phase, uninterrupted power supply will be ensured in seven districts of Ferozepur, Faridkot, Pathankot, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, SBS Nagar and Tarn Taran from June 16. Bhagwant Mann said that under the third phase, paddy planting will be ensured from June 19 in seven districts of Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Fazilka, Bathinda and Amritsar, while the remaining nine districts of Patiala, Jalandhar, Moga, Sri Paddy harvesting in Muktsar Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Barnala and Mansa will start from June 21 for which uninterrupted power supply will be provided.
