Campaign of International NGO Sitesavers, 1700 disabled students will get benefit in Hazaribagh district

Arif, Hazaribagh. International NGO Sightsavers has started a campaign to connect 21 different types of disabled students with inclusive education in all 16 blocks of district Hazaribagh, the divisional headquarters of North Chhotanagpur. For this, about 1700 students studying in government schools (class one to eight) of the district have been identified. After receiving the survey report from the Jharkhand Education Project Office, Sightsavers organization is helping to connect all these students with inclusive education. On Monday, a one-day disability awareness workshop was organized by the organization with resource teachers, BEEOs, project workers and others at Hotel Kaneri Inn auditorium.

Information to connect disabled students with inclusive education

The inauguration was done by trainee IAS Sadabti Majumdar. DEO Upendra Narayan and others were present on the occasion. Senior program officer of the organization, Jitendra Kumar informed about connecting visually impaired and all other types of disabled students with inclusive education. And told the story of dozens of students who are doing better in the field of education by defeating their disabilities. Hazaribagh district coordinator of Sightsavers Satyajit Singh said that the inclusive education system is being strengthened in the district. In this, help is being provided to the partially blind and totally blind other students to complete their skills.

‘Government signs MoU with SiteSaver’

DEO Upendra Narayan said that the government has signed an MoU with SiteSaver. The organization is helping in connecting all types of disabled, visually impaired and low vision students with inclusive education in Hazaribagh district. Without education, the imagination of building a better society is incomplete. It is necessary for any type of Divyang to get equal education.
