Earlier, the politics of the student alliance came to the fore in the PU elections. Congress’s National Students’ Union India (NSUI) has joined hands with JJP’s Indian National Students’ Organization (INSO) and Haryana Pradesh Students’ Union (HPSU). NSUI Party has joined hands with INSO for the post of General Secretary and HPSU Party for the post of Joint Secretary.

It is worth noting that Haryana has a coalition government of BJP and JJP, while Panjab University, Chandigarh has an alliance between Congress and JJP’s student wing.

This time on September 6, 15693 thousand students of PU campus (Sector-14/25) will vote. A total of 179 booths will be constructed in various departments for the elections. Apart from this, 58 departmental representatives were unanimously elected in 40 departments and elections will be held for 68 posts of departmental representatives in the remaining 29 departments. 22 thousand students of different colleges of the city will vote in the student union elections. Then on September 6, after the counting of votes, the election results will be announced.

A total of 18 student organizations in the field

From PU, ABVP is in the fray for the post of president and secretary, and student body Vidyarthi Morcha of the Sham department is in the fray for four posts.
