Punjab ADGP Jail Arun Pal Singh has suspended 6 wardens including 2 superintendents of Mansa Jail. The suspended employees include Assistant Superintendent Jail Mansa Bhiwam Tej Singla, Assistant Superintendent Kuljit Singh along with Wardens Nirmal Singh, Harpreet Singh, Sukhwant Singh and Harpreet Singh Ballot No. 1405.
In fact, the prisoner Subhash Kumar Arora, who was released from Mansa Jail, disclosed the use of drugs and mobile phones in the jail. He had told that influential and economically strong inmates in the jail get all kinds of facilities including drugs by giving money to the jail officials. He also gave important information about the indiscriminate use of mobile phones in the jail.
DIG Jail Headquarters conducted an investigation
DIG Jail (Headquarters) investigated the allegations made by Subhash Kumar alias Subhash Arora, a prisoner released from Mansa Jail, in an interview given to TV channels. After this, action was taken against the warders along with the assistant superintendent of the jail.
