This gang is associated with terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda group who fled from Punjab to Pakistan and was carrying out terrorist incidents in Punjab on the instructions received from there.

DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said that 6 associates associated with Harvinder Singh alias Rinda gang have been arrested. These accused had committed the double murder in Patiala in April 2023, since then this gang was absconding. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused were still planning to commit some murders, most of which were target killings.

Weapons were also recovered

Punjab Police has recovered 5 pistols and 20 live cartridges from the accused. The interrogation of the accused is going on. The police speculated that the accused were going to carry out more target killings in the coming days. Soon the accused will be produced in the court and remanded.

Murder of two friends in Patiala

On the night of April 24, the accused beat up two friends, Nakul and Anil, near the bus stand. Within a week, the police had arrested 5 accused belonging to this gang and also seized a car. The police also came to know about other accused and the police are conducting continuous raids to nab them.

During this raid, the police got information about 6 more arrested accused who are going to carry out target killing. After this, the police laid a trap and succeeded in catching 6 accused with weapons.
