Inspector Amanjot Singh, in-charge of the operation cell, said that this gang was operated from abroad through WhatsApp. They collect money from businessmen, hotels, clubs, disc owners etc.

According to information, on March 12, the police party was patrolling near the sports complex located in Sector-50. Meanwhile, at around half past six in the evening, a source informed the police about serious criminal Khuda Ali Sher resident of Lucky Patial and his accomplice Prince Kurali residing in Canada and Lali residing in Malaysia.

The police arrested Mannu Batta on March 12 and recovered a modern weapon of 32 bore, magazine, 5 cartridges and a Skoda car from his possession. After this, Aman Kumar alias Vicky, Kamaldeep alias Kimmy, Sanjeev alias Sanju were arrested on March 13. A 30 bore sharp pistol and 4 cartridges were recovered from Aman. On the other hand, .32 bore modern revolver and .32 bore modern pistol and 6 cartridges were also recovered from Sanjeev alias Sanju from Kamaldeep alias Kimmy.
