350 crore kept in the budget for stubble management

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that stubble burning is a big problem for the Punjab government. The state government is taking special measures to prevent stubble burning. 350 crores have been kept in the budget for stubble management. Finance Minister Cheema announced that the government will start crop insurance.

Apart from this, a new sports policy of the state will come soon for which a budget of 258 crores has been kept. 53 crore has been fixed for Sports University Patiala. Sports equipment will be bought with three crores. 1015 crore will be spent on medical education and research.

There will be proper arrangements for school and higher education for education. The budget of government schools is 99 crores. A budget of 20 crores has been fixed for improving the skills of teachers. The teachers will only teach and the estate manager will see all the work related to the schools. An initial budget of 200 crores has been kept for the School of Emanence. 78 crores have been earmarked for various scholarships. Employment and coaching will be arranged for higher education. A budget of 68 crores has been kept for the college.
