28th hearing today in Sidhu Moosewala murder case, mother Charan Kaur asked, 'Will all the accused appear in court'?

Sidhu Moosewala : It has been 395 days since the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Mansa will hold the 28th hearing of this case today. 27 hearings have been held in this matter, but till date the charge could not be framed against the accused. Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur has also posted a question whether all the accused will be able to appear in the court in the 28th trial or not.

In fact, in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the court has directed the jail administration to produce all of them personally or through video conferencing on June 28, so that the court proceedings can proceed. The State Investigation Committee (SIT) has filed 2 charge sheets against 31 accused including gangster Lawrence, Goldie Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. In which it is claimed that these murders were carried out out of revenge between Lawrence and the Bambiha gang.

Charges not settled in 9 months
More than 9 months have passed since the Punjab Police filed the charge sheet in the Moosewala case, but the court is yet to frame the charges against the accused. The main reason for this is that it is a challenge for the authorities to produce all the accused simultaneously or through video conferencing.

More than 6 accused did not appear in court
So far, more than 6 accused have not been produced in the court in this case. Lawrence has appeared in court via video conferencing only once out of 27 hearings. Of the total 31 accused, the police had arrested 27 of them, but two of them, Mandeep Singh and Manmohan Singh, were killed in a clash in the Goindwal jail of Tarn Taran district.

Goldie Brar, Lipin Nehra, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother and his nephew Sachin Bishnoi Thapan are sitting abroad. While two accused (Jagdeep Rupa and Manpreet) were killed in a police encounter at Attari in Amritsar. At present, 25 accused are locked in jails.

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered on 29 May 2022
On 29 May 2022, Shubdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Mansa district of Punjab. According to the Punjab government, 29 persons have been arrested so far in this case, two accused were killed in the encounter and 5 are yet to be brought from outside India. For this, the state government is in touch with the center and other agencies. The prime accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case is Goldie Brar of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
