Bureau Report: Today is the day of Miri-Piri Siddhant of Sri Akal Takht Sahib built by Sri Guru Hargobind Ji on the sixth Jot of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. On this day Sri Guru Hargobind Singh wore 2 kirpans of Miri and Piri and sat on the throne. At Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Khalsa Panth has been taking its joint decisions by Gurmat, but for the past few years, questions have been raised about the decisions taken from the Takht Sahib, appointments of Jathedars and Gurmat. The main reason behind this is to move away from the theory of creation of Sri Akal Takht. That is why, on this holy day, the Khalsa Panth and Gur-Sangati have gathered at Sri Anandpur Sahib. According to the tradition of the Guru Khalsa Panth, these groups will worship Sri Akal Takht Sahib in front of the Panj Singhs by thinking about the Sirmaurta. In this gathering, an effort is being made to revive the tradition of making a joint decision by revising the Gurmat of the Khalsa panth according to panthic tradition.

Diwan was decorated in the presence of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Bunga Kukkar village near Panj Pyaara Park at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Sahaj Path Sahib of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was completed on the occasion of Miri Piri Diwas.
According to Panthak tradition, Panj Singh has been selected from among the present representatives in order to take the views of all the representatives to revise the Gurmata. The views of all the representatives are being taken by the Panj Singhs. This practice of reforming Gurmatism at the panthic level is being implemented after a gap of about a century. The entire event was led by Panth Sevak personalities, including Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, known as the principle leader of militant struggle and Bhai Narayan Singh Chauda, Bhai Rajinder Singh Mugalwal, Bhai Lal Singh Akalgarh, Bhai Bhupinder Singh Bhalwan, Bhai Satnam Singh Khandewala, Bhai Satnam Singh Jhanjian, Bhai Hardeep Singh Mehraj, Bhai Amrik Singh Isru, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Dodd and Bhai Manjit Singh Phagwara. Apart from this, denominations, institutions, Nihang organizations, Damdami Taksal, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, missionary colleges are also contributing their share.
