WhatsApp Account Ban: Instant messaging app WhatsApp has closed more than 29 lakh Indian accounts simultaneously. The Messenger platform owned by Meta has closed these accounts between January 1 and January 31. Accounts banned on users complaint

WhatsApp said that for the month of January, the company had received 1,461 complaints from India and the platform has taken action on 195 complaints. Of the 1,461 complaints, 1,337 were for ban appeals and the rest were related to support and security. The company has given this information in the monthly report of IT Act 2021. Let us inform that in December, WhatsApp banned 36.77 lakh accounts in the country, in which more than 10 lakh accounts were actively banned.
