It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas Razi that the wife of Hazrat Sabit bin Qais Razi went to Prophet Muhammad and said, O Messenger of Allah! I do not blame the religion and character of Thabit bin Qays, however, I dislike disbelief in Islam.

Hearing this, Prophet Muhammad asked if she could return the garden (which she had given you as a dowry)? The woman replied! Prophet Muhammad SAW asked Thabit bin Qais to take back the garden and divorce it. (Hadith: Sahih Bukhari-5273)

This is written in the Quran

Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'an that it is not halal for you to take back anything of what you have given them. But if both of them fear that they will not be able to uphold the limits of Allah Ta'ala, then there is no guilt or offense on them if they forgive him. (Albqar: 229)
