Weather Update: Thunderstorm alert for the next 5 days in these states including Delhi-Haryana, IMD has issued an orange alert.

India Weather Update: Due to moisture from the Arabian Sea, northwest India is likely to experience thunder and stormy weather on May 27 and 28. According to India Meteorological Department, its impact will be mostly over Uttar Pradesh from tomorrow and it will reduce from the next day. IMD scientist Dr Soma Sen Roy said that thunderstorms will continue in northwest India for the next 5 days.

Along with this, according to the department, there is a possibility of storm in Delhi for the next 3-4 days. Apart from this, orange alert has been issued for Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, but there is a possibility of heavy rain in North-East Uttar Pradesh and storm in other areas tomorrow.

IMD tweeted the alert

“Rain/thunderstorm, lightning/gusty winds likely over Northeast Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and South Uttarakhand,” India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a tweet. Along with this, it was posted on the Twitter handle of Delhi Airport that flight operations at Delhi Airport have been affected due to bad weather. Many areas of Delhi have been flooded due to rain.

Along with this, he said, ‘We have issued an orange alert for Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, UP, but tomorrow there is a possibility of heavy rain in North-East UP and storm in other areas.’

Earlier on Saturday morning, parts of Delhi-NCR received heavy rain with thunder and gusty winds. Due to this sudden change in the weather, people have got a lot of relief from the raging heat in North India. The minimum temperature in the capital Delhi was recorded at 19.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning, which is seven degrees Celsius lower than the average temperature of this season. On the other hand, the maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees below the normal.
